FASCHING @ MUNCHKINS HING SCHEDULE NEXT WEEK @

Next week (Feb. 8 and 11) we are celebrating Fasching(Carneval) at Munchkins on Monday and Thursday.  So, bring your little ones dressed up in costume if you like.  We will also have face painting available. 
The week of Feb. 15, Munchkin sessions will be cancelled due to the school holidays.

MOM'S NIGHT OUT - THURSDAY - FEB. 18TH - 7:30PM

The next Mom's night out is going to be held at Mongo'S, Oberangerstr. 28 (tel. 089 23 22 58 00) on Thursday, Feb 18th from 19.30. Please join us for Mongolian cuisine (think European meets Chinese meets Thai ...) and some fabulous cocktails during Fasching week. For those of you who don't already know the place, it is a fun restaurant with a lively atmosphere where you get to choose exactly what you want to eat and it is then cooked in front of you and served at your table.

ENGLISH STORY HOUR - SATURDAY, FEB. 20TH - 3PM

NUTRITION COURSE - TUESDAY, FEB. 23RD - 7PM

Healthy Start - English taught nutrition workshop for parents of infants from birth until 1 year old

When should I start feeding my baby? What foods should I start with? How much food? How often? This course will answer these questions and other common concerns such as:

Establishing healthy eating patterns from the beginning Elements of a healthy diet (nutritional requirements) Home prepared vs. store bought baby food How to prepare and store food safely at home Common choking hazards How to transition to new textures  and finger foods

How to spot a food allergy or food intolerance

Learn important tips and strategies to start your baby on a life pattern of healthy eating!  Instructor

Dora Meyer has 12 years of nursing and parent education experience in the United States and France. Dora holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Nursing and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Public Health specializing in health education and promotion.

FIRST AID COURSE - SUNDAY, FEB. 28TH - 12PM

First Aid Course in English - Child and Infant CPR with First Aid 

Learn to overcome any reluctance to act in emergency situations and to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in infants and children. Course will provide the knowledge and skills necessary in an emergency to help sustain life and to minimize pain and the consequences of injury or sudden illness until professional medical help arrives

Course includes how to respond to emergencies such as:

Burns

Broken bones

Poisonous ingestions

Heat/sunstroke

Frostbite

Choking

As well as hands on experience with CPR

Course is taught by Uwe Kubier, a trained Paramedic with 33 years experience who works for the Allgemeine Sanitätshilfe e.V (website: www.notfallmedizin.de )
